Lizzo is a style chameleon who is always mixing up her looks and experimenting with bold colourful make-up.
So when Lizzo’s make-up artist Alexx Mayo did a run-through of one of her looks, comprised solely of Ciate London products, we sat up and took notes. Read on to find out how to replicate her elaborate smokey eye.
“I firstly use the Extraordinary Foundation to create a flawless finish to the skin, then set the base using the Everyday Vacay Coconut Setting Powder using a medium-sized powder brush to lightly dust the fine powder across the complexion,” explained Alexx. “To lock that in for ultra-long wear, I spritzed the Everyday Vacay Coconut Setting Spray across in a ‘x’ and ‘t’ formation.”

“Next, I sculpt and shape the brows using the Microblade Brow Pen as this allows for the creation of ultra-lifelike, fine hair strokes,” the cosmetic expert shared.

Alexx then took the I Am Woman Palette, Ciate London’s new 24-pan eyeshadow palette, which launched last week, and used the warm, deep aubergine shade ‘Hattie McDaniel’ to darken the outer corner of the eyes, then added some “major dazzle and shine” across the lid using the intense gold-glitter shade ‘Marsha P Johnson’. He finished off by slicking two coats of Wonderwand Mascara onto Lizzo’s lashes.
Contour and highlight
“Taking the I Am Woman Palette, I map out the crease and contour the bridge of the nose with the soft-matte, mid-brown shade ‘Joan of Arc’ then take the rich metallic cranberry shade ‘Marie Curie’ into the crease to add depth and definition,” he shared.
“Lastly, I used the shade matte pale cream shade ‘Frida Kahlo’ across the brow bone to highlight and lift the overall look.
“(I) then finished the look using the lightweight Dewy Blush in Papaya to add warmth to her complexion with an extra, healthy-looking, natural glow.”
