Aside from selecting good quality ingredients, Pharrell has revealed that the tip he swears by is using a face cloth. He even called it his number one skincare secret in a chat with Vogue.

Not many men (or women for that matter) of 47 look quite as good as baby-faced Pharrell Williams.

And the superstar is now sharing the secrets of his smooth visage with the world in the form of his new Humanrace skincare line, which he created in partnership with his long-term dermatologist Dr. Elena Jones.

But aside from selecting good quality ingredients, Pharrell has revealed that the tip he swears by is using a face cloth.

“I don’t care what you doing – genes, genetics. It doesn’t matter. You’ve got to cleanse your face and use a cloth, people! All this hunga bunga cowboy caveman s**t, that ain’t gonna do it, baby. That cloth is gonna help you exfoliate!” he laughed. “Exfoliate like a madman! Removing those dead layers of skin as much as you can – that’s what keeps you fresh. Naomi (Campbell) used to say it all the time, ‘Pharrell, when you wash your face, you go upward, not downward – gravity!'”

And the Hot-n-Fun singer isn’t the only one to worship a face cloth. It’s long been known that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge favours a flannel when it comes to cleansing her face at the end of the day. And her wedding make-up artist Arabella Preston gave it her professional seal of approval, explaining that it’s by far the best way to remove make-up, and is much more effective than a cleansing brush or bare hands.

If you haven’t already tried Liz Earle’s cult product, Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, then now is the time.

As well as a bottle of award-winning cleanser, made with cocoa butter, rosemary, chamomile, and eucalyptus, it also comes with a pure cotton cloth that gently exfoliates by lifting away dead skin cells.
