Using an oil on your nails will make cuticles look and feel healthy, meaning your manicure will be even more polished. You can use kitchen oils such as olive and coconut, or treat yourself to a branded product designed to make your hands happy. We test out three.
CND Solar Oil Nail and Cuticle Conditioner – 4/5

I use this oil after getting a CND powder system manicure, and for the most part my cuticles look great. There is the odd occasion where the nail technician gets a bit to enthusiastic with the cuticle nipper, which no amount of oil can soothe, but otherwise this is a winner in the nail department.

This has really come to the rescue of my dry, splitting nails thanks to the nourishing vitamin E. It’s easy to apply – just paint it over nails and cuticles like you would a polish – and massage in. My nails felt noticeable stronger after just one use and my cuticles look the healthiest they’ve ever been!
